Walk On...

Walk On...

When trails are hard before you.
A journey of a thousand miles
Begins with a first step,
But it also ends with a last.

Walk On...

When brambles tear your mind's legs,
The soles of resolve are blistered and bleeding
And the muscles of your spirit
Scream for rest inside your head.

Walk On...

When voices by the wayside
Tempt to stop your travels,
Offering cool drinks of mediocrity
To distract you from your mission.

Walk On...

When naysayers chide your efforts,
Trip you up or try to block passage.
Brush them aside with determination!
Only your heart knows where it seeks to go.

Walk On...

When the quest is through you will
Feast at contentment's table
And sleep in serenity's bed
Reconciled in your constitution.

Walk On... Until you get where you are going.
